+ Emmanuel Card. Wamala Archbishop Emeritus of Kampala
Dear brethren, in the risen Christ gathered here to celebrate the 57th World Day of Social Com- munications; I warmly welcome you all and congratulate you upon having reached your day which is also our day. May the Lord’s name be glorified within us forever with and through good communication skills. We thank Mother Church for upholding to this culture for years; the celebration of this day reawakens our communication modes.

We congratulate all the communication desks in each of the 19 Catholic Dioceses of Uganda and we appreciate your commend- able services for humanity. We thank God for always aiding us with His grace to remain good communicators among His creatures.
In all our sectors, we ought to speak the same language of love and through this, the loving heart will project good communica- tion desired for, in our Christian living. We need to listen to each other and understand the who, when, how, which and most impor tantly the why of our being both Spiritually and Socially. At this, I would love to re-echo the words of the Supreme Pontiff delivering it from his plea to us in regard to this year’s Social Communications Day; we are what we communicate. Therefore, we call upon each of you to be what you communicate. Let us be good in order to communicate goodness: for a gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit (Prov.15:4). Let us all strive to be a family of one heart speaking with love. A family which is the church where one would want to live forever.
May you all receive my Apostolic blessing which I affectionately extend to all your Family Members, your Collaborators and to all your loved ones.
